Hardware Requirements for SQL Server 2014

SQL Server 2014 has the following hardware
requirements:

 Processor: SQL Server is available for both x86 and x64 architectures. On x86 systems, SQL
Server requires a Pentium III-compatible
processor or faster, with a minimum speed of
1.0 GHz. An x86 processor rated at 2 GHz or
higher is recommended. For x64 systems, SQL
Server can be installed on servers with AMD
Opteron, AMD Athlon 64, Intel Xeon with
EM64T support, and Intel Pentium IV with
EM64T support processors. The minimum
processor speed for x64 processors is 1.4 GHz, with a minimum of 2 GHz recommended.

 Memory: SQL Server 2014 Express Edition requires a minimum of 512 MB of memory, with 1 GB recommended. All other editions require a minimum of 1 GB of memory, with at least 4 GB
recommended. If Data Quality Services is to be installed, a minimum of 2 GB is recommended.

 Disk: A hard disk with a minimum of 6 GB of available space for the product components. Additional storage is required for databases.
